FIH Partners advised Pioneer Point Partners on the partnership acquisition of 100% of the shares in Scanbio Marine Group from Paine Schwartz Partners.
Founded in 1984, Scanbio Marine Group collects and processes fish waste to produce high-value, sustainable end products for the animal feed, industrial production and bioenergy sectors. It also provides critical aqua logistics services to the Norwegian fish farming markets. Scanbio Marine Group is the world leader in its subsector and has a large operational footprint, operating seven vessels along the Norwegian coastline, two processing sites in Bjugn and Lysøysund, Norway, a pre-processing plant on Bornholm, Denmark as well a network of storage hubs across Norway, Denmark and Scotland.
Due to Scanbio Marine Group’s focus on upcycling of waste enabling a more circular economy, the parties have obtained a Green Loan financing package with Norway’s leading bank, DNB.
As the new owners of Scanbio Marine Group, Pioneer Point Partners and Verdane will accelerate and scale the journey that Scanbio Marine Group is already on to become Europe’s leading aquaculture waste management company and provider of high-value end products.
FIH Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Pioneer Point Partners on the transaction.
