The divested company, Wrist Group, is one of the leading global suppliers of bunker fuel and general ship supplies with revenues in 2006 of approximately DKK 25 billion. The Group employs some 850 persons worldwide and has headquarters in Aalborg, Denmark.The acquiror, Altor, is a private equity firm focused on investing in and developing medium sized companies in the Nordic region.
The bunker industry is consolidating and the customers are becoming more demanding. Wrist Group has a strong foundation to build on and with new financially strong owners the company will be able to accelerate its global expansion in order to serve our customers in all the major shipping regions of the world.
