FIH Partners advised Skandinavisk Holding and KFI in reaching an agreement with NorgesGruppen regarding a new ownership structure for Dagrofa, the ultimate owner of FoodService Danmark. As part of the transaction NorgesGruppen will acquire Skandinavisk Holding’s 55% stake in Dagrofa and enter into a new set of agreements with KFI regarding the joint future ownership of Dagrofa. The transaction also involves the inclusion of SPAR and SuperBest grocers into the new ownership structure. FoodService Danmark is one of Denmark’s leading food service companies through its subsidiaries Catering Engros (catering) and Dagrofa S-Engros (cash-and-carry). In 2011, FoodService Danmark had revenues of DKK 4.0bn (EUR 0.5bn) and 600 employees. NorgesGruppen is Norway’s largest retailer with revenues of NOK 58.6bn (EUR 7.9bn) in 2011 and 30,000 employees.
