The sellers were ATP Private Equity, Dansk Kapitalanlæg, Novi Seed, NEF Fonden and SEAS-NVE. Dansk Bredbaand, a Danish based broadband network operator, has for a number of years invested in the establishment of broadband connections for consumer customers all over Denmark and had about 70,000 customers.
The acquirer; Waoo is a Danish based company, founded in 2010, engaged in providing broadband and content services.
The transaction is part of Waoo’s strategy to achieve economies of scale, reinforce its product offerings and increase its competitiveness in the television, telephone and broadband solutions market. The acquisition will double the size of Waoo’s activities.
