FIH Partners advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), in CIP’s USD 81 million investment in the 196.7MW US onshore wind farm project Bearkat I.Bearkat I is located in the Western part of Texas. The project will consist of 57 Vestas turbines of each 3.45MW, Bearkat will have a total capacity of 196.7MW. Final Investment Decision has been made and the onshore wind farm is planned to be fully operational in 2017.
The project has a total construction budget of USD 271 million, of which USD 190 million will be provided by tax equity investors. Via its fund Copenhagen Infrastructure II, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) provides USD 81 million in the form of equity.
FIH Partners acted as financial advisor to CIP.
