The background for Sjælsø entering into the refinancing arrangement is the desire to strengthen Sjælsø’s financial position and competitive strength in a volatile and reluctant property market. The refinancing arrangement will help secure the company’s substantial existing value added present in the form of property, development projects and sites. The capital contribution will also ensure that the necessary working capital is available in order for Sjælsø to be positioned as strongly as possible at such time when the property and developer market returns to normal and the company can again operate its business on ordinary market and funding terms.
The refinancing is part of a complex refinancing and restructuring arrangement coordinated by FIH Partners as exclusive financial advisor to Sjælsø.
