FIH Partners advises SEAS-NVE, the largest consumer-owned energy company in Denmark, in the company’s acquisition of 80% ownership in the offshore wind farm Rødsand 2 from E.ON Vind Sverige AB, a subsidiary of German listed E.ON SE which is one of the world’s largest investor-owned power and gas companies.Rødsand 2 is located off the Danish coast in the Baltic Sea and comprises 90 wind turbine generators with a combined nameplate capacity of 207 MW. The park has been operational since 2010 and is able to supply CO2-free power equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 200,000 households.
The acquisition of Rødsand 2 is in line with SEAS-NVE’s ambition to play a central role in Denmark’s transition towards sustainable energy and is a very visible asset that will reinforce SEAS-NVE’s market position as the largest consumer-owned energy company in Denmark.
