FIH Partners advised Nykredit, one of Denmark’s leading financial services companies, on the divestment of Nykredit’s depositary services business to the Bank of New York Mellon.
Working together since 2008, the Bank of New York Mellon has provided custody, and Nykredit has provided depositary services, to a wide range of shared clients including several of the largest investors in Denmark.
With the depositary business of Nykredit becoming part of the Bank of New York Mellon organization, the Bank of New York Mellon will be able to provide depositary services directly to clients in Denmark. Together, Nykredit and the Bank of New York Mellon will continue to provide solutions within investment servicing and data solution to asset owners and managers.
FIH Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Nykredit. The transaction was structured as a carve-out and asset sale and was the result of a narrow private auction.
