SEAS-NVE and NRGi merge their optic fibre network activities.
The merged company, Fibia, will become a leading provider of optic fibre based network in Denmark. The combined balance sheet will amount to DKK 2.5bn and Fibia will have more than 200,000 homes passed and 70.000 customers.
The merger will enable Fibia to invest further in the development of the Danish optic fibre based infrastructure and strengthen its competitive position.
Fibia is 65.5% owned by SEAS-NVE and 34.5% owned by NRGi.
SEAS-NVE is the largest customer owned utility company in Denmark with 480,000 customers, a balance sheet of approx. DKK 15bn and revenue of DKK 3.3bn in 2013.
NRGi is one of the largest customer owned utilities in Demark. NRGi has approx. 210,000 customers, a balance sheet of approx. DKK 5.6bn and revenue of DKK 2.4bn in 2013.
